Methods
Methods - Fast and Reliable Conoscopy
Simultaneously capture orthoscopic and conoscopic image information in polarized light microscopy. The specially designed Pol phototube allows object, crosshairs, and iris diaphragm to be visible simultaneously. Thanks to the adjustable iris diaphragm, this holds true even for the limits of the conoscopic range, down to a minimum crystal size of 10 µm. The pre-centered Bertrand optics are easy to switch on and off, allowing for a quick transition between techniques during image and video capture
Consistent Measurement Performance
- Perform straightforward measurements using the rotary, ball-bearing-mounted stage with a 360° scale and 0.1° vernier (e.g., for measuring cleavage angles in minerals).
- Determine optical path differences or strain measurements
