Design
The INDEX B500 is an evolution of established manufacturing solutions in the INDEX Group. This versatile universal lathe, when customized to your needs, can be employed in various applications, including tooling, prototyping, and production. Decades of expertise are evident in the design, including features like a pocket above the main spindle to allow the safe use of long boring bars without collisions.

Ergonomic operating concept
The spacious work area of the INDEX B500 guarantees excellent accessibility for setup. Both the main spindle and the tool turret are easily accessible, enabling quick and flexible setup and changeover. The well-designed work area, featuring steep-sloping and smooth covers, ensures optimal chip evacuation and prevents chip accumulation.
