Modular Design
The series employs a versatile modular system, offering a wide spectrum of options. You can integrate up to 3 tool carriers within the workspace, providing ample room for machining various workpieces. With the capacity to handle parts up to 1,600/2,300 mm in length, it caters to diverse requirements. The robust main and counter spindles are optimized for bar diameters up to 120 mm and chucked part diameters of up to 500 mm. Turret steady rests are available for machining lengthy or shaft-shaped components.
The INDEX G520 is equipped with a potent motorized milling spindle capable of simultaneous 5-axis machining. The design prioritizes ergonomic efficiency, ensuring easy accessibility for both operators and maintenance personnel. For added flexibility in loading and unloading blanks and finished parts, the modular robot cell iXcenter is available for all machines in this series.
